After becoming a global sensation last year, KPop Demon Hunters has grown far beyond its original release, evolving into a full-scale franchise with movies, shorts, music, games, toys, and a rapidly expanding merchandise empire. Although merchandise was initially slow to reach the market, 2026 has finally brought a major wave of official products, with even more on the way.
The franchise itself continues to expand. Following the success of the original Netflix film, a sequel has officially been announced. A new short film titled Debut: A Kpop Demon Hunters Story is also in development, though it currently has no release date. Earlier this year, the franchise released five shorts as part of a collaboration with McDonald's, tied to special HUNTR/X and Saja Boys meals. These promotions included collectible trading cards with QR codes unlocking an exclusive HUNTR/X performance.
Beyond streaming success, the franchise became a music powerhouse thanks to its soundtrack. The album earned multiple awards, including a Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media for the track Golden. The soundtrack is currently available across major platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Pandora, Amazon Music, and iHeartRadio.
Clothing was among the first merchandise categories to arrive. Retailers such as Amazon, GAP, Target, Old Navy, Zara, and Vans now offer a wide variety of apparel, including shirts, hoodies, jackets, and kidswear. Fans can find designs featuring HUNTR/X, the Saja Boys, Jinu, Rumi, and Derpy, while Vans launched an exclusive footwear collection featuring nine unique designs.
Book releases have also expanded quickly. Younger fans can pick up titles such as For the Fans! Official Storybook, Bedtime Stories, the Official Coloring Book, and the Official Activity Book. Additional releases include the HUNTR/X Tab Journal, Official Poster Book, and the deluxe two-volume KPop Demon Hunters: The Official Screen Comic Boxed Set, which transforms the movie into a 700+ page graphic novel featuring soundtrack lyrics and full-color panels.
Collectors and art lovers can also look forward to The Art of KPop Demon Hunters: Platinum Edition, a premium hardcover art book packed with over 500 pieces of concept art, design work, production stills, and creator commentary. The book is scheduled for release on September 8, 2026.
Gaming collaborations have already given the franchise strong visibility. Fortnite introduced HUNTR/X and Saja Boys skins through a partnership between Netflix and Epic Games, while characters also appeared in Cookie Run: Kingdom. On the tabletop side, fans can grab KPop Demon Hunters Monopoly Deal, with a full Monopoly edition arriving in August and Labyrinth: KPop Demon Hunters from Ravensburger launching in September.
The toy category is especially stacked for 2026. Hasbro is releasing multiple items, including Derpy and Saja Boys-themed Furby Furblets, electronic light sticks, and Nerf HUNTR/X roleplay weapons inspired by Rumi, Zoey, and Mira’s signature gear.
Meanwhile, Mattel is heavily investing in the brand with 6-inch action figures featuring swappable portraits, accessories, and over 18 points of articulation. Mattel is also producing multiple dolls, including the sold-out What It Sounds Like 3-Pack and the upcoming Battle Rumi Deluxe Fashion Doll.
For premium doll collectors, American Girl is launching 18-inch versions of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey complete with signature outfits and weapons, shipping on November 27, 2026.
Plush collectors—especially Derpy fans—also have plenty of options. Jazwares has launched multiple plush products, including Squishmallows versions of Derpy and Sussie, a 12-inch Derpy plush, and an 18-inch sleeping Derpy plush releasing throughout summer 2026. For something more hands-on, The Woobles offers crochet kits allowing fans to create their own Derpy and Sussie plushes.
One of the most exciting future reveals is the upcoming LEGO collection. Although no sets have been officially shown yet, teasers confirm a 2026 launch, with Derpy already appearing in promotional material. Potential sets could recreate iconic scenes from performances like Golden or action sequences from How It’s Done.
Collectors can also pick up the growing Funko Pop! lineup, now spanning two waves. Figures include HUNTR/X in multiple costumes, the Saja Boys, Bobby the manager, and fan favorites Derpy and Sussie.
At the premium end of the market, Hot Toys is producing highly detailed sixth-scale figures of Rumi, Zoey, and Mira, featuring soft goods, extensive articulation, and character-specific details such as Rumi’s wired braid. These are expected later this year.
With a sequel on the way, shorts expanding the lore, and a huge merchandise rollout across nearly every category imaginable, KPop Demon Hunters has clearly evolved from a streaming hit into a full multimedia franchise. While fans wait for news on KPop Demon Hunters 2, the original film remains available to stream on Netflix.
